About This Spot

Stepping into Little China feels like finding a well-kept secret tucked away on Amy Drive in Holmen. This is a quietly humble spot—a modest, no-frills place that wears its simplicity with pride. The pace here moves with easy familiarity, not rushed, inviting you to slow down and savor each bite. The warmth of the kitchen seems to radiate into the front space, a small footprint where the buzz of simmering woks and the aroma of spices promise something comforting and genuine.

What makes Little China special is less about grand presentation and more about the kind of honest, straightforward Chinese cooking that feels like a daily ritual for many locals. Whether you stop by for a takeout order or chance upon an outdoor spot nearby to enjoy your meal, this is a place where portion size meets generosity, and every plate carries a sense of homey flavor rooted in familiar, time-tested recipes.

The charm here grows from the atmosphere of a neighborhood eatery that knows its way around classics—like crisp vegetables paired with savory pork, or dishes with a mild kick of spice that hint at careful balance rather than fireworks. The fried rice, lively with just enough texture and seasoning, sprouts easily from the kitchen with an inviting warmth, while soups and sauces bring a gentle depth inviting you to pause and appreciate the layers behind the simplicity.

Little China’s appeal isn’t about flash—it’s in the small, thoughtful touches: a side of extra onions neatly packed to keep flavors bright, the hustle of a kitchen working steadily, or the way a modest location becomes a backdrop for quiet moments, whether shared on a first date or a quick weekday escape. Its compact space encourages you to settle into a more grounded, relaxed appreciation of food as fuel and comfort, rather than spectacle.

I recently got takeout from Little China and had a fantastic experience. The generous portions left me more than satisfied, and I appreciated the extra onions for the pepper steak, which were packed separately (I think because the shrimp took up space). The shrimp fried rice and hot and sour soup were delicious as well. The prices are fair, making it a great value for the quality and quantity of food. What stood out the most was how healthy the dishes were—not overly salty or oily. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Tasty food, good service, decent prices. We went there on motorcycles thinking there was seating, there was not. It says dine in or something on the door and on the website. Maybe they moved and didn't update anything, or maybe they used to have a couple tables to eat at, once. Whatever the case it was a nice evening so we found an outdoor table just the other side of some trees close by and ate. The fried rice is brown, there is duck sauce and soy sauce in packets to grab, not sweet and sour, and the fortune cookies are next to the sauces and plastic ware. All in all good experience.

Food was good. Need to get used to how restaurants serve dishes. Order garlic beef, it looked like beef with vegetables (still good). Hot and sour soup was good. Would like the dumplings to be a bit more crispy, they were still good.

This place is like a little hole in the wall, you’d almost miss it. I had one of my first dates here with my now partner of six years. The quality of the food is great and yeah, the place is small, but it’s every bit worth it. Only downside is during the warmer months it can get pretty hot inside because the kitchen is right there, but do not let that stop you from grabbing a bite!
